The Weapons

 

The weapons are made from a high density foam, with a solid carbon fibre core for strength. They are overlaid with latex for durability and painted to give a realistic effect, then finished with a further protective layer.

 

This makes them soft enough to hurt very minimally, even from quite hard blows.

 

We have short swords, two handed swords, axes, shields, and a few long weapons such as a halberd and double ended axe with spear heads at each end.

 

The different weapons have various strengths and weaknesses. For example, a spear has far greater reach to keep people at bay making it very difficult to fight against, but is cumbersome and is far weaker when the opponent comes into a short range.

 

Additionally the choice of weapons a team chooses will make variations in how effective that team will be, offering a multitude of interesting combinations.
